Inspiring from Farabi’s definition of theology and jurisprudence, this paper will examine the ‘theology of acts’ (Kalām-i ‘af‘āl) usually known in Islamic thought as ‘morals metaphysics’ (ilāhīyyāt-iakhlāqī). Although jurisprudence is the science of divine law (fiqh) with the aim of paving the path toward happiness, it does not explain the philosophy behind the divine law. According to Farabi, it is the science of theology that -in addition to defending the creeds- is responsible for providing us with the philosophy and justification of divine law which is named in this paper ‘theology of acts’. The difficulty of this responsibility is the main reason of being undeveloped science in Islam, nevertheless there are still various methods of theology of acts some of which have been developed by Farabi. The aim of this paper is to elaborate some of these methods to the readers especially to those who believe in the existence of philosophy of religion and sharī‘a, but have overlooked the importance of this theology in divine law and morality.

Foundationalism is confronted with difficulties that is, how one can evaluate human understanding by his knowledge and his rational thought by the Reason? Due to the problem, the validity of the reason should be proven through itself which is an obvious vicious circle. Having explanted this problem, to the paper will demonstrate that the difficulty refers to the argument itself and has not been based on any self- evident propositions or true logical evidence. The aim of argument in this paper is that to demonstrate that one can respond these kinds of skepticism in two ways: individual and general responses. In addition, , inspiring from Muslim philosophers, there are also other response some of which are counterexample-based and solution-focused, as well as the responses which are merely basic on man’s intuitive.

Nietzsche thought that the history of Western metaphysics is "a historical expansion of Nihilism”, and believed that the metaphysics has been ending to Nihilism and meaninglessness. Heidegger, on the contrary, plus to accepting this interpretation, believed that the history of Western metaphysics is the historical expansion of subjectivism which in his thought has ended to the oblivion of being. In Heidegger’s view subjectivism and the neglect of being are two equal notions. Based on the Nietzsche’s interpretation of the history of metaphysics as a historical expansion of nihilism and Heidegger’s interpretation of metaphysics as a historical expansion of subjectivism, to the article attempts to demonstrate that the possibility or impossibility of spiritual thought about the world- which the Being is it’s central and meaningful item- is grounded on possibility or impossibility of freedom from metaphysical subjectivism.

The problem of evil is a key theoretical and practical issue that effects totality of mundane and spiritual life with a very fundamental role in meaningfulness or meaningless of human's life. Metaphysical aspect of evils which deals with their ontological origins, and two kinds of natural and moral evils show the importance of problem of evil. In this case there are some approaches trying to answer the problem of evil with an emphasize on some of its virtues like: ontological or non-ontological properties of evils, the necessity of evil for actualization of more goodness, accompaniment of evils with human's freedom, essentiality of evil with natural universe, and their relativity. In this paper, with considering three important factors of meaningfulness of life, including having aim, value and function in life, and human's role and function in the world, is tried to indicate that if we take metaphysical worldview and use divine teachings in resolving the problem of evils, we at least can gain reasonable understanding of them which not only does not deny the meaning of human's life but produces a fundamental meaning for it, that is, is defined the divine goal of human's life, and its values and functions in which human's role and place is prominently clarified.

Reconciling MullaSadra's views regarding his interpretation of the hadiths about the creation of the souls with the verses and traditions along with his theoretical explanation is the central thesis of this article. Traditions concerning the issue of creation of the soul falls under two categories: apparently some hadiths are consistent with the theory of corporeal creation of the soul and some of them are not. There are three ways to dealing with the inconsistent hadiths. One group of scholars tied to ignore the hadiths due to the lack of any supporting rational arguments. Another group devotionally accepted the hadiths and hold that the souls had been created before the corporeal body. The third group tried to reconcile between hadiths and the reason. MullaSadra disagrees with the second group. He also does not agree with the first group, however, because of his devotion to the traditions, he believes that the tenet of belief is not acquired only through conjectures derived from hadiths. He considers his rational arguments as labial evidence that can justify the true meaning of the hadiths.

Based on the idea of immortality of soul and the theory of soul’s realization in the world of Ideas and it’s descent into the material world, Plato supports the idea of soul’s reincarnation after this life. Through the doctrines of ‘the human soul is bodily in its advent and spiritual in its survival’, ‘substantial movement of the soul and its emerging from bodily existence’, MullaSadra has rejected reincarnation. This paper having explained Plato’s thought on reincarnation, will examine MullaSadra’s view on this concept and that how he believes that Plato’s reincarnation is a celestial transmigration.
