One of the factors causing dismissal of a number of qualified staff members from the Iranian Army is taken an extremist approach to reappoint experienced staff members or tendency to appoint young personnel for brigadier or senior positions. The reappointment of those experienced staff members who have ended their 30-year official service period and emphasis on this approach on the grounds of their experience have overall made some qualified personnel to take those positions put on end to their official service unsatisfactorily without having opportunity of further service and the Army is denied of their management and thoughts. On the other hand, emphasis youth orientation and dismissal of the experienced staff members makes the Army lose precious that training their counterparts requires ages.

Given the current chaos and complexity, contemporary era requires different organizational requirements from what the past eras did. Emergence and development of knowledge-based organizations entail new organizational structure some of its features are fundamentally different from those of the hierarchically traditional structures. These structures are indeed the informal structures, free and voluntarily interactions of individuals which have received scant attention in organizations, but are of crucial importance in the success of effective management of knowledge. Given the emphasis attached in the texts of knowledge-based organizations to process, team-based, organic and informal structures as to development of knowledge-based organizations, the researches first tried to investigate ineffectiveness of traditional bureaucratic organizations, second to identify appropriate structures for such organizations and their characteristics. Having employed descriptive-analytic approach, the researchers, while studying weaknesses of bureaucratic and hierarchical structures in knowledge management, have tried to address the structure of the future organizations. Then through offering an exact explanation on the distinctive structural dimensions of knowledge- based organizations such as informal interactions, they conclude offering confidence-based, emotional and extrovert interactive relations.

Life in the current world is an ever-changing life. In this arena, successful organizations are a step ahead of surrounding events. One of the noticeable issues in the field is the notion of knowledge management. Knowledge management is a structured approach which sets forth procedures as to identification, assessment, organization, storage and application of knowledge in order to meet the organization‘s needs and objectives. To this end, an investigation of the obstacles and challenges looming ahead of knowledge management in order to take its advantages and offer necessary guidelines deems unavoidable, otherwise, all our efforts will doom to failure. Army as an organization seeking to adapt itself with the environment variations should move towards knowledge management. However, such an initiation faces certain obstacles and challenges. In a bid to address these issues, this study aims to propose guidelines for army macro management and its financial system. As an applied, quantitative, field and library research, it has restarted to data sources from internet, articles, books, journals, theses and any available information bank. The participants were the army financial managers, selected based on stratified sampling method. The findings revealed that development and establishment of knowledge management in the Iranian Army financial system faces human obstacles that their removal requires development and introduction of necessary approaches.

This study, first, addresses the nine principles of contemporary wars. Second, a comparative analysis of them is carried out based on Imam Ali's perspectives. The basic question is the nature of the difference between the principles governing the wars he attended and the current ones. Findings revealed he would utilize different definitions in certain respects and use four additional principles including the principles of: faith, dedication, prays and morality. He would initially use these four principles and advise his forces to observe them, all indicating his education from the teachings of the prophet of Islam (peace be upon him).

Science of maintenance and repair has experienced remarkable development since 1930. To this end, variety of techniques has been innovated to increase life of equipment and meet the expectations of the industry owners and they are still applied in all industries especially in those of military. The purpose of this study is to explore whether employment of a systematic approach with regard to selection of effective techniques on maintenance ad repair can be identified as the best and most appropriate solution as to removal of the deficiencies of the devices and equipment specially those of the military. Secondly, what kind of systematic approach would bring about the best method in this field? The study primarily addresses approach selection in military and defense fields. Methodologically, a nine step problem-solving method was employed. The findings revealed that one of the innovative methods of deficiency analysis would be systematic deficiency identification source of the problem analysis and contemplation in finding a mechanism to remove source of the problem. This method makes application of various scenarios in the form of filming all the process leading to deficiency in the military industries and equipment instead of taking photo and recording the moment of deficiency accuracy. This innovation provides a comprehensive vision towards the system and application of a scientific and engineering outlook, thereafter, stages of examination, diagnosis and prescription are paved. Another advantage of this mechanism could be potential sources of problem can also be identified and, through necessary precautionary measures, preventive measurement can be taken or negative effects of the source of problem can be minimized.

Information is identified as one of the major components of every supply chain. Coordination of integration foundation in supply chain management is realized in the light of information. Emergence of any problem and information gap brings about fluctuations and repeated interruptions for the chain. Consequently, both IT and comprehensive information system play a major role within the supply chain management. Currently, development of IT specially internet, increase in the speed of information processing and shortage of personnel entail resulting need for information in supply chain management so that it can cover all activities of a supply chain (Day Ferdeudel, 2006).Main objective of such a system is to integrate all sectors, resources and functions in a single information system so that all logistic needs can be met. To this end, development and implementation of an appropriate supply chain for the Navy of the Iranian Army is unavoidable so that measures such as controlling what is available and selection of appropriate supplier can be facilitated. To carry out this applied and descriptive study, first library research on the dimensions of conceptual framework for supply chain management system as to the Navy was carried out. Then, the library research findings were converted into a questionnaire administrated among the authorities.Out of the data analysis, an appropriate conceptual framework was designed for the Navy on the basis of Delphi test. The designedframework enjoys five axes including: security, technology, culture, organizational structure and finance. It is concluded that successful use of It in the Navy supply chain management system requires due attention to the suggested axes. Any weakness in any of these axes will cause the IT-based supply chain management project doom to failure.
