The goal of this study was to determine the role of learning and performance orientation practices in predicting psychological empowerment. Participants included 287 employees from an industrial organization who were chosen by stratified random sampling method. They filled out the related self-reported scales including the learning and performance orientation practicesScale (Brett, & VandeWalle, 1999), and the psychological empowermentscale (Spreitz, 1995). The results showed that there are positive relationships between learning orientation practicesand meaning (.62), competence (.43), self-determination (.79) and impact (.33). The relationships between performance orientation practicesand subscales of psychological empowerment were negative(meaning, -.45; competence,-.38; self-determination,-.56; andimpact,-.28).In addition, the results of multiple regression analysis showed that 41% of the variance of meaning, 23% of the variance of competence, 67% of the variance of self-determination, and 11% of the variance of impactwere explained by learning and performance orientation practices.

The aim of this research isto compare different kinds of employees in terms of their job motivation and job performance. Our statistical population consists of 320 employees of various parts of an industrial organization who were selected through the stratified random sampling. We employed valid tools and scales for assessing the variables of this study. The analysis of variance was used for data analysis. Findings show that there are significant differences between various followers in their job motivation and job performance and Scheffe follow-up tests revealed that exemplary and conformist followers had substantially higher numbers of these job outcomes than other followers. Therefore, we conclude that leaders and mangers of an organization should regard the worthwhile roles of their followers in the achievement and productivity of the organization.

This study tested the relationship of ethical climate with psychological well-being and turnover intention considering the mediating role of role stress (role conflict and role ambiguity). Data were gathered from 230 employees of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) who were selected by the stratified random sampling method. The instruments used in this study were Ethical Climate Scale, Psychological Well-being Questionnaire, Turnover Intention Questionnaire, and Role Stress Questionnaire. Structural equation modeling (SEM) through AMOS-18 and SPSS-20 was used for data analysis. The results indicated that the proposed model fit the data properly. Findings also supported the positive relationship of ethical climate with psychological well-being and the negative relationship of ethical climate with turnover intention. The mediating role of the role stress in these relationships was confirmed.

The instruments which used in this study were Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) (Bass and Avolio, 1995) and teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors questionnaires developed by Somech and Drach-Zahavy (2000). In this research we used the Pearson correlation and stepwise regression analyses. The results show that the range of positive correlation coefficients between subscales of transformational leadership (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration), and the three components of the construct of the teachers’ organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs) (teachers’ OCBs toward the school, teachers’ OCBs toward the team, and teachers’ OCBs toward the students) are from. 13 to. 28 which are significant at p.

General health is an important and pervasive issue for all society members, including students. Concerning the presence of various factors, university is a mentally stressful period. In this respect, commitment to religious beliefs and practical attachment to them can be considered an important factor in the prevention of mental traumas and in the improvement of health. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between dimensions of religious practicing according to Islamic beliefs (RPAIB) and students’ general health. The study sample included 375 undergraduate students of Shahid Bahonar University who were selected using stratified random sampling. Tow questionnaires, including GHQ-28 and RPAIB, were administrated and analysed using Pearson correlation method and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that there was a significant relationship between GHQ and its dimensions and RPAIB and the dimensions related to it. Also, based on the results of the regression analysis, one dimension of RPAIB, i.e., commitment to conduction of religious behaviors (CCRB) could significantly predict general health. According to the results, it can be concluded that practical attachment to religious beliefs plays an important role in general health.
