The Security Council of the United Nations passed Resolution 598 after the great victories of the Iranian combatants in Valfajr 8 and Karbala 5 operations, which had declared the military dominance of Iran. The authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, though facing great problems after fighting for seven years, did not accept the resolution. They sustained the state of neither rejection nor acceptance for almost a year. Along with identifying the causes of this eight-year war, this research is trying to discuss the strategies of the Islamic government and its reasons for delaying the acceptance of the resolution.

Having a new look at the processes involved in the Constitutional Revolution, this part of the study is intended to explain and evaluate the influence of the triangular leadership in the holy city of Najaf lead by Ayatollah Akhoond Mullah Mohammad Kazem Khorasani, Ayatollah Haj Mirza Hosein Khalil Tehrani, Ayatollah Mullah Abdullah Mazandarani. The influence of these three leading characters seem to be more considerable during 1324-1328 A. H. S, a significant period in the contemporary history of Iran. Unfortunately the history of this period has been written by pro-western dishonest historians who have reported reversely and have not mentioned the real trends and personalities which have affected the revolution. This part of the essay is devoted to review the basic concepts underlying the performance of these three leaders, as well as to consider divergent events and secularist front in this period and their outcomes.

Considering the 13-year era of Amir Abbas Hoveida, fromestablishing a modern group to his position as the minister of court, the researcher intends to identify his role in the political power structure and policy making in the era of the Pahlavi II through an explanatory-analytic study. The researcher hypothesized that Hoveida used to be a very influential perosn in the court, especially in determining internal policy. He played a great role in supporting Mohammad Reza's goals by establishing a modern group as well as the Iran Novin Party. This research is intended to review the effect of the 13-year performance of Hoveida on the structure of power. First, different phases of his biography including his attempt to make progress by establishing a modern group, holding ministry of economy and finance, holding the position of prime minister for a long time, as well as the question of 'why he remained so long in his position', are all explained. Then, his internal policy, including Bahaism, Freemasonry, press and political parties are discussed. Finally, a review of his position as the minister of court and a survey of the characteristics of the people around him are presented.

The establishment and development of labor organizations result from development in business and market and progress in industry. Developments in these components bring about mass production, immense organizations, further employment and vast working communication. The direct result of this is the enrichment of the investors and weakness of the workers. Another result of this growth, however, is the growth and spreading of labor class. This class may gain great power by getting united. This research is an attempt to investigate the effect of the Islamic revolution of Iran on the labor institutes through a comparative study of the state of workers before and after the revolution. It ends with some helpful suggestions for improving the state of workers in Iran.

The events of 1324-25 A. H. S. in Azerbaijan with military dealings gained international importance. However, recent studies have ignored the military aspect of this period. This research is an attempt to fill the gap by referring to the documents released by both opponent sides of the struggle. The research is intended to answer the question of how 'the democrat sect' developed its military organization, and how it demolished. This research mainly contains discussion on the following issues: The first military movement of the sect by the help of USSR, the process of its formation and organization, the battle of Ghaflankoh and failure of the democratic sect, and finally the demolition of the sect and elimination of the risk of Azerbaijan's dissection. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, an important policy that America resorted to in the strategic and significant region of the Persian Gulf was dual containment. One of America's reasons for taking such policy was to demolish Saddam's regime. On the other side, America sought to control Iran, some of whose measures in the region were against its interests. It tried to change Iran's behavior by putting economical and political pressure against it. This research is intended to find out whether America has been able to make any change in Iran's attitude towards itself by resorting to the dual containment strategy that it started in 1993, the era of Clinton, and then continued, and even increased, during the era of the presidents who followed.
