    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of Sanosil disinfectants on the dimensional stability of some usual impression materials..
    Materials And Methods
    Three types of impression material, namely, alginate, condensational silicone, and polyether, were used in this study. Impressions were obtained from the master steel model. Fifteen impressions of each material (control group) were immersed in water for ten minutes and impressions of study groups were disinfected by immersion in 2% Sanosil for ten minutes. Then impressions were poured by type III gypsum according to the manufacture''s instruction. Dimensions of casts in the two anterior dimensions, i.e. interval between the anterior abutments and interval between anterior-posterior abutments, were recorded by a digital caliper with the accuracy of 0.01 mm. Data were analyzed with SPSS through two-way ANOVA test..
    Results
    The results showed that there was no significant difference in the mean dimension of casts prepared by different impression materials in anterior and anterior-posterior dimensions in comparison to the original model after disinfection with Sanosil..
    Conclusions
    The study revealed that disinfection with 2% Sanosil has no significant effect on casts dimensions of alginate, silicone, and polyether impression and dimensional stability is maintained..

    Materials And Methods
    Fifty interproximal bone losses were evaluated in this study. First, direct digital intraoral radiography (Sopro-La Ciotat-France) was taken, and then CBCT (Newtom 3G, Verona. Italy) was carried out. Periodontal flap surgery was done to achieve the gold standard. The distance between cementoenamel junction (CEJ) and the bottom of the vertical pattern of bone loss or the most coronal level of bone in horizontal pattern was measured.     This study was conducted to compare the microleakage of encapsulated GI restoratives with their hand-mixed equivalent..
    Materials And Methods
    In this interventional (field trial) study، 40 extracted caries-free deciduous teeth were selected. After preparing class V cavities، teeth were divided into two groups. Cavities in group one were restored with encapsulated self-cured GI restorative (EQUIA، Fuji IX). In the second group، hand-mixed GI restoratives (Fuji IX) were used، which were prepared in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommended powder to liquid mixing ratios. After thermo cycling، the samples were immersed in 0. 5% methylene blue solution for 12 hours. Then، they were sectioned for examination under light microscope. Micro leakage of each restoration was evaluated by the depth scale of the dye penetration along the tooth-restoration interface..
    Results
    Statistical analysis by Mann-Whitney U test showed no significant difference in micro leakage between encapsulated GI restoratives and their hand-mixed equivalents (P < 0. 05)..
    Conclusions
    There was no difference between micro leakage of hand-mixed and encapsulated GIs and in case of following the manufacturer’s instruction and recommendations، hand-mixed GIs could be as efficient as their encapsulated equivalents..

    Objectives
    The purpose of this study was to evaluate the presence of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) in Oral Lichen Planus and Oral Lichenoid Reaction..
    Materials And Methods
    A total of 41 biopsies diagnosed as Oral Lichen Planus and Oral Lichenoid Reaction and 15 samples as the control group were selected from the archives of Pathology Department of Loghman Hakim Hospital, Tehran, Iran from 2002 to 2009. All the paraffin blocks were cut for hematoxylin and eosin (H and E) staining to confirm the diagnoses and the samples were then prepared for immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS statistical software (version 21.0), the chi-squared test and Fisher’s exact test, and independent-samples t test. Statistical significance between the groups was set at P < 0.05..
    Results
    The H. pylori positivity was found in 29.7% and 14.8% of OLP, and OLR samples, respectively. Statistically significant difference was not observed compared to normal tissues (P = 0.661). The chi-squared test show no significant difference between the frequency of H. pylori positivity and the lesion type, gender, and site. Although H. pylori positivity was found in 59.2%, and 50 % of OLP, and OLR samples, respectively, statistically significant difference was not observed compared to normal tissues (P = 0.838). In addition, the chi-squared test show no significant difference between the site of the lesion and H. pylori positivity. H. pylori positivity was mostly found on the buccal mucosa (64.3%), however, H. pylori negativity was mostly found on the tongue (60 %) (P = 0.309). Additionally, the chi-squared test show no significant difference between the frequency of H. pylori positivity, and the gender (P = 0.517). Independent-samples t test showed no statistically significant difference between age and two patient groups statistically (P = 0.450)..
    Conclusions
    This present study reveals no significant difference between the presence of H. pylori in OLPs and OLRs. Yet, further studies with larger sample size needs to be done to prove this association..

    In this retrospective study, lateral cephalograms of 24 Class I and 26 Class II patients, Who were 9-11 years old and had the inclusion criteria, were used for analysis. Cephalograms were traced manually. Depth of the nasopharynx, oropharynx, and hypopharynx, soft palate dimension and position, and hyoid position were measured on the cephalograms.
