    مقدمه
    ویسفاتین و واسپین در افزایش یا کاهش مقاومت به انسولین نقش دارند. هدف از پژوهش حاضر بررسی اثر یک دوره تمرین هوازی و مکمل یاری دارچین بر ویسفاتین و واسپین سرمی در موش های صحرایی مقاوم به انسولین است.
    مواد و روش ها
    سی وشش سر موش صحرایی نر به گروه های کنترل (9=n)، تمرین هوازی (9=n)، عصاره دارچین (9=n) و تمرین هوازی - عصاره دارچین (9=n) تقسیم شدند و تحت القای مقاومت به انسولین با استفاده از محلول فروکتوز %10 قرار گرفتند. گروه های تمرین، به مدت 8 هفته و هر هفته پنج روز با شدت 75 تا %80 حداکثر اکسیژن مصرفی، تمرین هوازی را انجام دادند. به گروه های عصاره به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن بدن در روز، 200 میلی گرم عصاره دارچین تزریق شد. داده ها با آنالیز واریانس یک طرفه در سطح معنی داری %5 p≤ تحلیل شد.
    یافته ها
    نتایج نشان داد که تمرین هوازی همراه با عصاره و بدون عصاره باعث کاهش معنی دار ویسفاتین، انسولین و مقاومت به انسولین سرمی (به ترتیب: 0/001p<، 0/005=p و 0/001p<) شد. همچنین تمرین هوازی و ترکیب تمرین و عصاره باعث افزایش معنی دار غلظت واسپین شد (0/001 p<). سطح گلوکز در گروه تمرین - عصاره کاهش معنی دار داشت (0/008 p<).
    نتیجه گیری
    تغییر در سطوح ویسفاتین و واسپین سرمی درنتیجه فعالیت ورزشی هوازی و عصاره دارچین، باعث بهبود مقاومت به انسولین در موش های مقاوم به انسولین شد. همچنین عصاره دارچین در ترکیب با تمرین هوازی اثر بیشتری بر ویسفاتین داشت.

    مقدمه
    هدف از این تحقیق، بررسی تاثیر هشت هفته تمرین پیلاتس و مصرف مکمل پروبیوتیک بر پروتئین واکنشی-C، کراتین کیناز، لاکتات دهیدروژنار و سرعت رسوب گلبول قرمز در زنان دارای اضافه وزن است.
    مواد و روش ها
    تعداد 40 نفر در دامنه سنی 23 تا 25 سال به صورت هدفمند انتخاب شدند و به صورت آگاهانه و تصادفی به چهار گروه 10 نفری «پروبیوتیک، دارونما، پیلاتس و توام» تقسیم شدند. در مرحله پایه و بعد از هشت هفته تمرین، نمونه خون وریدی آزمودنی ها جهت اندازه گیری مقادیر پروتئین واکنشی-C، کراتین کیناز، لاکتات دهیدروژنار و سرعت رسوب گلبول قرمز اخذ شد. از آزمون تی، آزمون آنکوا و آزمون تعقیبی بونفرونی جهت بررسی متغیرهای تحقیق استفاده شد.
    یافته ها
    پروتئین واکنشی-C و سرعت رسوب گلبول قرمز در بررسی درون گروهی در گروه پیلاتس، پروبیوتیک و توام کاهش معناداری داشت (0/001p=). کراتین کیناز در گروه پیلاتس و توام کاهش معنادار یافت (0/001p=). لاکتات دهیدروژناز نیز صرفا در گروه توام کاهش معنادار یافت (0/001p=). در گروه کنترل مقدار پروتئین واکنشی-C افزایش معنادار داشت (0/001p=). همچنین با توجه به نتایج آزمون آنکوا در بین گروه ها ازنظر مقدار کراتین کیناز، لاکتات دهیدروژناز، پروتئین واکنشی-C و سرعت رسوب گلبول قرمز تفاوت معنی داری وجود داشت (0/001p=). طبق نتایج آزمون تعقیبی بیشترین کاهش در این شاخص ها در گروه توام مشاهده شد.
    نتیجه گیری
    به رغم اینکه پیلاتس و مکمل پروبیوتیک به تنهایی می توانند در کاهش التهاب موثر باشند، اما درصورتی که پیلاتس با مصرف پروبیوتیک همراه باشد می تواند به نتایج بسیار بهتری منجر شود.

    مقدمه
    صدای طبیعت به عنوان یک مراقبت غیردارویی و پوشاننده صداهای محیطی می تواند در بهبود کیفیت خواب بیماران موثر باشد. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین تاثیر صدای طبیعت بر کیفیت خواب بیماران بستری در بخش مراقبت های ویژه قلبی انجام شد.
    مواد و روش ها
    در این کارآزمایی بالینی تصادفی شده، 93 بیمار بستری در بخش مراقبت ویژه قلبی بیمارستان های شهید رجایی، حضرت رسول و فیروزگر در سال 1395 به روش مستمر انتخاب شدند و به روش تصادفی در 3 گروه صدای طبیعت، دریافت کننده هدفون (فاقد صدا) و کنترل قرار گرفتند. از نمونه ها رضایت نامه کتبی دریافت شد. بیماران گروه صدای طبیعت، دو شب با استفاده از هدفون به مدت 30 دقیقه صدای طبیعت را گوش کردند. به بیماران گروه سکوت، دو شب به مدت 30 دقیقه هدفون بی صدا داده شد. بیماران گروه کنترل فقط مراقبت های معمول را دریافت کردند. کیفیت خواب آزمودنی ها در شب قبل از مداخله و دو شب مداخله با استفاده از پرسش نامه پیتزبرگ بررسی شد. داده ها با آزمون های آماری کای اسکوئر، فیشر، تی زوجی، آنالیز واریانس و نرم افزار آماری SPSS نسخه 21 تجزیه وتحلیل شد.
    یافته ها
    میانگین تغییرات کیفیت خواب در گروه کنترل (41/40±9/4) با دو گروه مداخله صدای طبیعت (4/24±7/68) و سکوت (41/00±7/4) اختلاف معنی دار آماری داشت (001/P<0)و نشان دهنده بهتر بودن کیفیت خواب در دو گروه مداخله است.
    نتیجه گیری
    به نظر می رسد شنیدن دو شب صدای طبیعت یا گذاشتن هدفون بدون صدا، بر بهبود کیفیت خواب بیماران موثر باشد. توصیه می شود پرستاران بر اساس ترجیح بیماران، برای آنان صدای طبیعت یا سکوت را فراهم کنند.

    مقدمه
    اضافه وزن و چاقی عاملی خطرناک در بروز بسیاری از بیماری ها نظیر بیماری های قلبی- عروقی، پرفشاری خون و دیابت است؛ به نحوی که بسیاری از افراد در کشورهای توسعه یافته و درحال توسعه را گرفتار کرده است و از آن به عنوان مهم ترین عارضه تغذیه ای و یک معضل اجتماعی در سطح جهان یاد می شود. هدف این پژوهش، بررسی تاثیر 4 هفته مکمل سازی بذر کتان و تمرین ترکیبی بر برخی از عوامل خطرزای بیماری های قلبی - عروقی و هورمون کورتیزول در زنان دارای اضافه وزن است.
    مواد و روش ها
    سی وشش زن دارای اضافه وزن با 25 BMI> به صورت تصادفی در این تحقیق شرکت کردند. آنان به چهار گروه 9 نفری «تمرین با مکمل، تمرین ترکیبی، مکمل سازی بذر کتان، و کنترل» تقسیم شدند. از همه افراد رضایت نامه کتبی گرفته شد. تمرین ترکیبی شامل تمرینات هوازی با شدت %65 ضربان قلب ذخیره و تمرینات مقاومتی با شدت %60 RM1 بود. در این بین، پودر بذر کتان (62/0 گرم به ازای هر کیلوگرم از وزن بدن در روز) در طول چهار هفته دوره تمرین، مکمل سازی شد. فرضیه های تحقیق در سطح معنی داری %5>P با آزمون آنالیز واریانس (ANOVA) با اندازه گیری های مکرر با عامل بین گروهی بررسی شد.
    یافته ها
    چهار هفته مکمل سازی بذر کتان به همراه تمرین ترکیبی، تاثیر معنی داری بر کاهش کلسترول در مقایسه با گروه کنترل (%5=p) و LDL در مقایسه با پیش آزمون (005/0=p) داشت. ضمن این که مداخله ها تاثیری بر HDL (509/0=p)، تری گلیسیرید (119/0=p)، و کورتیزول (788/0=p) نداشت.
    نتیجه گیری
    مکمل سازی بذر کتان و تمرینات ترکیبی، میزان کلسترول و لیپوپروتئین کم چگال را کاهش داد؛ اما بر بقیه شاخص های پروفایل لیپیدی و کورتیزول تاثیر زیادی نداشت. پژوهش حاضر محدودیت هایی داشت. تحقیقات بیشتر در این زمینه ضروری است.

    مقدمه
    استفاده از مکمل های ضدالتهاب خوراکی یکی از راه های مقابله با آثار نامطلوب التهابات ناشی از فعالیت های ورزشی است. در این میان، سزامین یکی از مکمل های تاثیرگذار خوراکی است که به منظور کاهش صدمات التهابی اکسایشی ناشی از تمرینات ورزشی مختلف استفاده می شود. بدین منظور، پژوهش حاضر با هدف تاثیر ده هفته مکمل دهی سزامین و تمرین هوازی بر سطوح سرمی فاکتور نکروز تومور آلفا و پروتئین واکنشی C در مردان تمرین کرده انجام شد.
    مواد و روش ها
    در این پژوهش نیمه تجربی، 40 نفر مرد تمرین کرده با میانگین سنی 59/1±62/22 سال به صورت در دسترس انتخاب شدند. از آزمودنی ها رضایت نامه کتبی گرفته شد و به طور تصادفی در چهار گروه 10 نفری «دارونما، تمرین هوازی، تمرین هوازی+ سزامین، و سزامین» قرار گرفتند. فاکتور نکروز تومور آلفا و پروتئین واکنشی C به روش الایزا اندازه گیری شد. داده ها با آزمون آماری تی همبسته، آنووا و تعقیبی توکی با نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 20 تجزیه وتحلیل شد.
    یافته ها
    مصرف مکمل و تمرین هوازی باعث تفاوت معنادار فاکتور نکروز تومور آلفا در گروه های ترکیبی و مکمل نسبت به بقیه گروه ها شد (به ترتیب: %22=p و 0/001p=) و در پروتئین واکنشی C در گروه ترکیبی نسبت به گروه های دیگر تفاوت معنا دار وجود داشت (0/001p=).
    نتیجه گیری
    تمرین هوازی و مکمل سزامین روش موثری در بهبود سلامت مردان تمرین کرده است. همچنین، ترکیب مکمل سزامین با تمرین هوازی می تواند برخی آثار مفید تمرین را در یک دوره 10 هفته ای افزایش و التهابات ناشی از تمرین را کاهش دهد.

    مقدمه
    هدف از این تحقیق، تعیین اثر هشت هفته تمرین هوازی و مصرف کلرلا بر مقادیر پلاسمایی پاراکسوناز-1 و لیپید هیدروپراکسید در رت های نژاد ویستار مبتلا به دیابت نوع 2 است.
    مواد و روش ها
    در این تحقیق تجربی، 50 سر رت نر نژاد ویستار با میانگین وزنی 10±220 گرم به مدت هشت هفته مطالعه شدند. آن ها به پنج گروه «شاهد سالم، کنترل دیابتی، دیابتی+ مصرف کلرلا، دیابتی+ تمرین و گروه توام (دیابتی + مصرف کلرلا و تمرین)» تقسیم شدند و مقادیر پاراکسوناز-1 و لیپید هیدروپراکسیداز آن ها در پایان هفته هشتم اندازه گیری شد. داده ها با تحلیل واریانس یک طرفه و آزمون تعقیبی توکی تجزیه وتحلیل شد.
    یافته ها
    در بین گروه ها ازنظر مقدار پاراکسوناز-1 تفاوت معنی دار مشاهده شد (0/001p=). در مقایسه بین گروه کلرلا با ورزش (0/001p=)، کلرلا با توام (0/001p=) و ورزش با توام (0/007p=) نیز تفاوت معنی دار مشاهده شد. بین گروه ها ازنظر مقدار لیپید هیدروپراکسید نیز تفاوت معنی دار وجود داشت (0/001p=)؛ به طوری که بین گروه کلرلا با تمرین (0/005p=) و توام (0/001p=) و گروه تمرین با توام (%29p=) تفاوت معنی دار مشاهده شد؛ تغییرات در گروه توام، قابل توجه تر بود.
    نتیجه گیری
    هشت هفته تمرین هوازی و هشت هفته مصرف کلرلا به تنهایی می تواند باعث کاهش لیپیدهیدروکسی پراکسیداز و افزایش پاراکسوناز-1 در رت های مبتلا به دیابت شود؛ بااین حال ترکیبی از تمرین هوازی و مصرف کلرلا نتایج بهتری دارد.

    مقدمه
    با گسترش زندگی صنعتی و پیچیده تر شدن پدیده های روانی و اجتماعی، اضطراب جزئی از مولفه های زندگی انسان شده است. این پژوهش با هدف بررسی تاثیر شیر افتیمون بر مولفه های اضطراب انجام شد.
    مواد و روش ها
    چهل نفر از افراد مراجعه کننده به مراکز طب سنتی، به مدت یک ماه تحت مداخله شیر افتیمون قرار گرفتند. از همه آنان رضایت نامه کتبی اخذ شد. نمونه ها پرسش نامه اضطراب چندسیستمی را به عنوان پیش آزمون و پس آزمون تکمیل کردند. داده ها با نرم افزار spss و آزمون تی همبسته تجزیه وتحلیل شد.
    یافته ها
    میانگین اضطراب احساسی، اضطراب شناختی، اضطراب رفتاری و اضطراب فیزیکی قبل از مداخله به ترتیب 20/19±26/1، 0/94±24/16، 2/57±22/96 و 62/64±1/26 و بعد از مداخله به ترتیب 68/40±74/1، 32/18±19/1، 28/17±20/2 و 80/25±18/2 بود. نتایج نشان دهنده کاهش معنی دار نمرات پس آزمون نسبت به پیش آزمون در مولفه های احساسی، شناختی، رفتاری و فیزیکی اضطراب بود (0/001p=).
    نتیجه گیری
    می توان از شیر افتیمون به عنوان مکمل درمان در مراکز درمانی و در ارتباط با بیماری های خاصی که اضطراب جزئی از ویژگی های آن هاست با در نظر گرفتن وضعیت طبع و مزاج مبتلایان استفاده کرد. مطالعات بیشتر در این زمینه ضروری است.

    هدف
    کراتین یکی از مهم ترین و متداول ترین مکمل های مورداستفاده ورزشکاران است؛ اگرچه مکانیسم های مولکولی تاثیر آن و آثار جانبی آن کمتر شناخته شده است. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین تاثیر مکمل سازی مونوهیدرات کراتین بر فعالیت آنزیم های کراتین کیناز و لاکتات دهیدروژناز پس از یک جلسه ورزش شدید در دختران ورزشکار انجام شد.
    مواد و روش ها
    سی دختر دانشجوی ورزشکار از طریق تست 7 مرحله ای بروس انتخاب شدند و به شیوه تصادفی به دو گروه تجربی (مکمل سازی کراتین/7 روز: 15=n) و کنترل (دارونما: 15=n) تقسیم شدند. از همه افراد رضایت نامه کتبی اخذ شد. سپس برای اندازه گیری کراتین کیناز و لاکتات دهیدروژناز، خون گیری از آزمودنی ها در شرایط قبل از مکمل سازی و 24 ساعت پس از آزمون ورزشی کانینگهام انجام شد.
    یافته ها
    در شرایط پایه (پیش آزمون)، تفاوت معنی داری در سطوح کراتین کیناز (0/621=p) و لاکتات دهیدروژناز (0/852=p) بین دو گروه مشاهده نشد. در گروه تجربی، تفاوت معنی داری در سطوح کراتین کیناز (0/214=p) و لاکتات دهیدروژناز (0/325=p) بین دو وضعیت پیش و پس آزمون مشاهده نشد. همه متغیرها در گروه کنترل تغییر نکردند (%5
    نتیجه گیری
    مکمل سازی کراتین مونوهیدرات، تاثیر معنی داری بر فعالیت آنزیم های کراتین کیناز و لاکتات دهیدروژناز پس از یک تست ورزشی شدید در دختران ورزشکار نداشت.

    Introduction
    Visfatin and Vaspin are two adipokines playing a role in increasing or decreasing insulin resistance. The present study aimed at investigating the effect of 8 weeks of aerobic exercise in combination with cinnamon extract on visfatin and vaspin in insulin-resistant rats.
    Methods
    Thirty-six Wistar male rats were divided into four groups: control (N=9), aerobic exercise (N=9), cinnamon extract (N=9), and aerobic exercise cinnamon extract (N=9). Insulin resistance status was induced by %10 fructose solutions during 5 weeks. The exercise groups were subjected to a 5-day per week aerobic exercise program (with 75-80% VO2max) for 8 weeks. 200 mL/kgBw/day cinnamon extract was injected to the rats in the cinnamon extract groups.     The results of the present study indicated that aerobic exercise may improve insulin resistance in insulin-resistant rats changing the levels of serum visfatin and vaspin. However, it can have a greater effect on visfatin when combined with cinnamon extract.

    Introduction
    This study aims at investigating the effect of eight weeks of Pilates training in combination with probiotic supplementation on C-reactive protein (CRP), creatine kinase (CK) and lactate d ehydrogenase (LDH) levels and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) in overweight women.
    Methods
    40 overweight women in the age range of 23-25 years were purposefully selected and randomly assigned to four groups of probiotic supplementation (N = 10), Pilates training (N = 10), combined (N = 10), and placebo (N = 10). The blood samples were obtained in the basal state and after eight weeks of training to measure CK, LDH, CRP and ESR. In addition, T-test, ANCOVA and Bonferroni post-hoc test were used to analyze the study variables.
    Results
    A significant decrease was observed in CRP level and ESR in the Pilates, probiotic and combined groups (P = 0.001). Also, a significant decrease was observed in CK level in the Pilates and combined groups (intra-group) (P = 0.001), and LDH significantly decreased only in the combined group (P = 0.001). In the control group, a significant increase was observed in the CRP level (P = 0.001). Also, according to the results of ANCOVA, there was a significant difference among the groups in terms of creatine kinase, lactate dehydrogenase, and CRP levels and ESR (P = 0.001). Based on the results of post hoc test, the combined group showed the highest decrease in these markers.
    Conclusion
    Based on the res ults of the present study, although Pilates training and probiotic supplementation each by itself can be effective in reducing inflammation, their combination can lead to much better results.

    Introduction
    Nature sounds as non-pharmacological care can reduce environmental sounds to improve patients’ sleep quality. Therefore, the present study aimed at investigating the effect of listening to nature sounds on sleep quality in patients hospitalized in cardiac care unit.
    Methods
    In this randomized clinical trial, 93 patients, admitted to the Cardiac Care Units (CCUs) of three teaching hospitals in an urban area of Iran, were randomly selected in 2016. They were randomly assigned to three groups, including nature sounds, silence, and control groups. The patients in the intervention group listened to nature sounds for 30 minutes via headphones. The patients in the silence group wore headphones without any sound for 30 minutes. The patients in the control group were only provided with routine care. The sleep quality was assessed on the night before the intervention and two nights of the intervention using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0, using chi-square tests, fisher exact test, paired t-test and ANOVA.

    It seems that listening to nature sounds or wearing headphones to prevent environmental noises help to improve sleep quality in patients. Therefore, nurses are recommended to provide the patients with nature sounds or silence (as they prefer) to improve their quality of sleep during hospitalization.

    Introduction
    Overweight/obesity is a risk factor for many diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension and diabetes and has affected a significant proportion of people in developed and developing countries so that it is considered to be the most important nutritional and social problem worldwide. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of four weeks of Flaxseed supplementation and concurrent training on some of the cardiovascular risk factors and cortisol level in overweight women.
    Methods
    Thirty-six overweight women with BMI> 25 were randomly divided into four groups of 9 people, including concurrent training in combination with flaxseed supplementation concurrent training, Flaxseed supplementation and control. A written consent was obtained from each participant. The concurrent training included aerobic exercises with an intensity of 65% of heart rate reserve and resistance training with an intensity of 60% of 1RM. Meanwhile, the Flaxseed powder (0.62 g per kg of body weight per day) was supplemented during the four-week period. The research hypotheses were tested at the significance level of p
    Results
    Four weeks of Flaxseed supplementation in combination with concurrent training significantly reduced the level of cholesterol compared to the control group (p= 0.05) and that of LDL compared to the pretest (p= 0.005). However, the interventions had no effect on the levels of HDL (p= 0.509), triglyceride (p= 0.99) and cortisol (p= 0.778).
    Conclusion
    Flaxseed supplementation in combination with concurrent training reduced the level of cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein. However, it had no significant effect on the other indicators of lipid profile and cortisol level. The present study had some limitations and further research is required.

    Introduction
    One of the ways to cope with the adverse effects of inflammation caused by exercise is the use of oral anti-inflammatory supplements. Among these, Sesamin is one of the most effective nutritional supplements used to reduce the inflammatory-oxidative damage caused by various types of exercises.
    Methods
    In this quasi-experimental study, 40 trained men aged 20-25 years were selected through convenience sampling and after obtaining informed written consents, the participants were randomly assigned to four groups: placebo (10), aerobic training (10), aerobic training sesamin (10) and sesamin (10). Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and C-reactive protein were measured by Elisa kits. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc test using SPSS 20.
    Results
    The results of ANOVA showed that serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha in the supplementation aerobic training and supplementation groups were significantly different from those in the other groups (respectively, p=0.022 and p=0.001) and the same was the case for serum level of C-reactive protein in the supplementation aerobic training group (p
    Conclusion
    Aerobic training in combination with Sesamin supplementation is an effective method to improve the health of trained men. In addition, combining supplementation with aerobic training can increase some of the beneficial effects of training over a 10-week period and decrease inflammation caused by training.

    Introduction
    The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of aerobic exercise and Chlorella supplementation on paraoxonase-1 and lipid hydroperoxide in Wistar rats with type 2 diabetes.
    Methods
    The present study is an experimental research. 50 male Wistar rats with an average weight of 220±10 g were divided into 5 groups of normal control, diabetic control, diabetes Chlorella supplementation, diabetes aerobic exercise and combined (diabetes Chlorella supplementation aerobic exercise). The subjects were studied throughout an eight-week period and the levels of paraoxonase 1 and Lipid hydroperoxide were measured after this period. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s post-hoc test.
    Results
    The results showed significant differences between the groups in terms of paraoxonase-1 level (P=0.001). Comparisons between the Chlorella supplementation and aerobic exercise groups (P=0.001), Chlorella supplementation and combined groups (P=0.001), and aerobic exercise and combined groups (P=0.007) also showed significant differences. Also, there were significant differences between the groups in terms of Lipid hydroperoxide (P=0.001) as significant differences between the Chlorella supplementation and aerobic exercise groups (P=0.005), the Chlorella supplementation and combined groups (P=0.001) and the aerobic exercise and combined groups (P=0.029).
    Conclusion
    Eight weeks of aerobic training and eight weeks of taking Chlorella can reduce Lipid hydroperoxide and increase paraoxonase-1 in rats with diabetes. However, a combination of exercise and Chlorella supplementation leads to better results.

    Introduction
    With expansion of industrial life and increasing complexity of psychological and social phenomena, anxiety has become a part of human life. Therefore, this study aimed at investigating the effect of Milk - Dodder on anxiety components.
    Methods
    40 people referred to traditional medicine centers were intervened for one month and multi-system anxiety questionnaire was performed as pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed through t-test using SPSS.
    Results
    The results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the subjects and the post-test scores significantly decreased compared to the pre-test ones, which means that after the intervention, the subject experienced significantly-decreased emotional, cognitive, behavioral and physical components of anxiety.
    Conclusion
    Milk - Dodder can be used as a supplement in medical centers and for certain diseases that anxiety is one of their characteristics.

    Introduction
    Creatine is one of the most important and commonly used supplements among athletes, although the molecular mechanisms by which it exerts its effect and its side effects are less understood. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of creatine monohydrate supplementation on the activity of creatine kinase and dehydrogenase enzymes after an intense exercise test in athletic girls.
    Methods
    After obtaining informed written consents, 30 trained girl students were selected through 7-stage Bruce Test to participate in this study and were randomly assigned to experimental (creatine supplementation / 7 days, N = 15) and control (placebo, N = 15) groups. The blood samples were collected before supplementation (pre-test) and 24 hours after Cunningham Test (post-test) to measure the levels of creatine kinase (CK) and lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH) in the two groups.
    Results
    There was no significant difference in the levels of CK (p = 0.621) and LDH (p = 0.852) between the two groups at baseline (pre-test). No significant difference was observed between pre- and post-test levels of CK (p = 0.214) and LDH (p = 0.325) in the experimental group. All the variables did not change in the control group (p > 0.05).
    Conclusion
    Based on these findings, creatine monohydrate supplementation did not have a significant effect on the activity of creatine kinase and dehydrogenase enzymes after an intense exercise test in athletic girls.
