صفحه 1مغرب عربی، سرزمینی که درمتون تاریخ نگاری ما، «افریقیه» نامیده می شود، این سرزمین همانند دیگر نقاط جهان اسلام در معرض پدیده ی مدرنیته و پیامدهای ناشی از آن قرار گرفت. نخبگان اجتماعی در جستجوی راهی برای به سامان نمودن نتیجه این پدیده بودنداما به علت استیلای فرانسه بر تونس در پایان قرن هجدهم و اشغال آن تا نیم قرن بعد، تلاش های آن ها از جمله خیرالدین پاشا بی نتیجه ماند. در این مقاله نخستین کوشش ها جهت سازگاری با مدرنیته با تمرکز بر اصلاحات خیرالدین پاشا مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است.

صفحه 95رضا شاه در سال های پیش از جلوس بر تخت پادشاهی، اصلاحات اجتماعی به عمل آورد که امنیت کشور را تامین کرد. اما او با کودتای سوم اسفند 1299 نظام دیکتاتوری را بنا نهاد. از آن جا که وی نقد آزادی خواهان را بر نمی تافت، بر رسانه های جمعی به ویژه جراید سانسور شدیدی اعمال کرد. رضاشاه و کارگزارانش سانسور را وسیله موثری برای نظارت می دیدند. این پژوهش بر مبنای گزارش های موجود و روش تطبیقی، نشان می دهد که با تهاجم نیروهای متفقین، دیکتاتور و نظارت او بر جراید، فروپاشید و هیچ گروه اجتماعی یا فرهنگی، از رژیم حمایت نکرد.

صفحه 113جدال امین و مامون و حامیان آنها برای خلافت، به جنگ منجر شد. با قتل امین در جنگ، تاریخ سیاسی خلافت عباسی نیز دگرگون شد. این مقاله رویکردی است برای واکاوی علت و چگونگی رویارویی نخبگان در این رویداد. هم چنین، با تکیه بر نظریه «منطق ساخت قدرت»، می توان از جدال نخبگان ایرانی و عرب درک بهتری داشت.

صفحه 173در سال های پایانی حکمرانی ناصرالدین شاه و دوران حکمرانی مظفرالدین شاه، تاریخ نویسی سنتی ایران به شیوه جدید، دگرگون شد. این دگرگونی، نتیجه ارزنده ی ارتباط با اندیشه گران جدید اروپایی بود. میرزا فتح علی آخوندزاده و میرزا آقاخان کرمانی از نخستین اندیشمندانی بودند که انتقاد تاریخی نوگرایی در تاریخ نویسی را به کار بردند و دیگران راه آنها را دنبال کردند. در این مقاله روند تکوین جریان انتقاد به تاریخ نویسی سنتی در ایران عصر قاجار مورد بررسی و تحلیل قرار گرفته است.

Page 1Western Arabia(Magrib) is a country which is called Efrighiah (Tunisia) in historical texts. Since the eighteenth century, this country like other parts of the Islamic world was exposed to modernism and its consequences. The social elites sought to pave the way for the impact of this phenomenon, however their attempts like those of Khair al-Din Pasha were in vain as France conquered Tunisia at the end of the 19th century and occupied it for over half a century. The ideas of Khajeh Nezam al-Molk as exposed in Siyar al-Moluk are in compliance with the political pradigms of Muslim thinkers in the Middle Ages other than influanced by IranShahri theary. Page 95During the years before ascending the throne, Reza Khan made certain social reforms which assured the security of the country. By the Coup d’Etat on the 22nd February 1920 he established a military dictatorship. He could not bear any criticism by the liberals, therefore he established a strict censorship of the mass media especially of the press. Reza Shah and his agents believed this was an effective means of control. This research is based on the existing records as well as comparative studies which proves the uselessness of censorship. Page 113The struggle for the position of the Caliphate lead the brothers Amin and ma`mun and their supporters fight each other. When Amin was killed in the fight the political history of the Abbasid Caliphate changed. This article discusses the reason and the manner this change took place. It also points out the struggle between the Persians and the Arab elits. Page 173Near the end of the reign of Naser al-Din Shah and during the reign of Mozaffar al-Din Shah, the traditional historiography of Iran changed into a more modern form. This change occurred thanks to contact with modern European scholarship. Mirza Fath Ali Akhundzadeh and Mirza Agha Khan Kermani were the first learned men who applied modernism in historiography, others followed in their steps. This presupposition is based on the theory of James Rosena according to which in under developed countries personality affects decision making.
