    A convenient and efficient one-pot four-component synthesis of 1, 2, 4, 5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles using nano TiO2 as a recyclable catalyst is reported. The results show that the methodology has several advantages such as low loading of catalyst, excellent yield, short reaction time, operational simplicity and solvent-free conditions.

    In this study, amino functional groups were chemically bonded to the surface of newly synthesized KIT-6 mesoporous magnetite nanoparticles (MMNPs) by post-toluene reflux synthesis method. This method treats calcined mesoporous nanoparticles with the functional organosilanes. Physical and chemical structures of the synthesized mesoporous magnetite nanoparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and nitrogen adsorption- desorption isotherms. Finally, the ability of the newly synthesized aminated mesoporous magnetite nanoparticles as a novel and recoverable sorbent with environmental applications was examined by studying the removal of dichromate ions from aqueous samples.

    A facile effective stirring aging at room temperature prior to conventional hydrothermal treatment was employed in the template-free synthesis of micro- and nano-crystalline sodalites with two different initial gel compositions. The effect of initial Si/Al molar ratio, NaOH concentration and stirring aging time were investigated on the morphology and particle size of the synthesised sodalites. The results revealed that applying various stirring aging time can change the proportion of the contaminant phase associated with sodalite and alter the morphology of the sodalite crystals from wool ball-like consisting of nano-threads to cabbage- like with nano-leaves, as well as size distribution of nanocrystalline sodalite. The size of the nanocrystals was in the range of 50-80 nm as observed by FE-SEM and the yield was as high as about 15%.

    In this paper thin films of tin sulfide (SnS) were deposited on the glass substrates using spray pyrolysis method with the substrate temperatures in the range of 400–600℃, keeping the other deposition parameters constant. In this work the characteristic of SnS thin films investigated. The XRD pattern and optical transmittance of thin films also are discussed. With the change in concentration of thiourea, the physical properties of the thin films are also investigated.

    Mixed-addenda vanadium substituted polyoxometalate supported on anatase TiO2 crushed nano leaf was synthesized by an unusual reaction with titanium tetraisopropoxide at 100 ºC via sol– gel method under oil-bath condition. The materials characterized by XRD, TEM, IR and UV– vis techniques. In the present work, efficient oxidative of thiols with polyoxometalate- TiO2/hydrogen peroxide system using ultrasound irradiation is reported. The Keggin type polyoxometalate-TiO2/H2O2, sandwich type POM-TiO2 and Wells Dowson type POM- TiO2/H2O2 systems showed completely different reactivity ordering for the same oxidation of thiols. Ultrasonic irradiation increased the catalytic activity of the catalyst, reduced the reaction times and increased the products yields.

    Transition-metal-substituted (TMS) polyoxometalates of the general formula [SiW9 3O39], (where M = first row transition metal), has been synthesized and supported on anatase by sol– gel method under oil-bath condition. The tetrabutylammonium (TBA) salts of the Keggin type polyoxotungstates [SiW9M3O39], (M = VII, CrII, MnII, FeII CoII and NiII), proved to be green, reusable, and highly efficient catalysts for the oxidation of thiols and dithiols into the corresponding disulfides using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing reagent. This article will be focused on the discovery of other transition metal substituted silicotungstate structures with a potential for homogeneous and heterogeneous oxidation catalysis. We will focus on red/ox active 3d metals (e.g. Fe2, Cr2).The catalytic activity of these transition-metal substituted polyoxometalates (TMSPOMs) was strongly influenced by the type of transition metal in the TMSPOMs. Among them, the (TBA7SiV3W9O40) catalytic system showed the highest activity. Nanoparticle (TBA7SiV3W9O40-TiO2) has been synthesized by sol–gel method under oil-bath condition at 100 °C. The materials were characterized by IR, XRD, TEM and UV vis techniques.
