A survey was conducted to identify the parasitic wasps of the subfamily Campoleginae (Hym.: Ichneumonidae) in Fars province (southern Iran) during February 2011 – August 2013. Specimens were collected using Malaise traps and sweeping nets. Two new record species of the genus Cymodusa (Ichneumonidae, Campopleginae) were identified: C. longiterebra Dbar, 1985 and C. australis (Smits van Burgst, 1913). An identification key, morphological diagnosis and geographical distribution of Iranian Cymodusa are provided.

The social vespid wasps (Hymenoptera: Vespidae: Vespinae and Polistinae) was studied in Bhutan during 2014-2016. A total of fifteen species were collected and identified that all of them are reported as new records from Bhutan: Vespa vivax Smith, V. velutina variana van der Vecht, V. fumida van der Vecht, Dolichovespula lama (du Buysson), Vespula flaviceps Smith, V. nursei Archer, V. vulgaris (Linnaeus), V. structor (Smith), Polistes (Polistella) nigritarsus (Cameron), Parapolybia varia (Fabricius), P. nodosa van der Vecht, Ropalidia artifex (de Saussure), R. stigma (Smith), R. ornaticeps (Cameron) and R. rufoplagiata gravelyi (Dover & Rao). Diagnostic characters and geographical distribution of all species are presented.

A faunistic study of the family Sciomyzidae has been conducted in northern Iran. Material was collected using Malaise traps during 2010-2011 from different habitats in Guilan and Mazandaran provinces. Nine species were identified, of them Elgiva cucularia Linnaeus, 1767 and Tetanocera ferruginea Fallén 1820 are new records for the fauna of Iran. A key to the 28 currently known Iranian species of the family Sciomyzidae is given along with figures of informative characters.

An updated checklist of 129 species in 62 genera belonging to 10 subfamilies of Pteromalidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) known from Iran is presented. One genus, Trychnosoma Graham, 1957 and three species, Systasis ephedrae Dzhanokmen, 1982; Trychnosoma punctipleura Thomson, 1878 and Spalangia rugulosa Förster, 1850 are newly recorded for the fauna of Iran. Hosts and distributional data in Iran are also presented.

The Evanioidea wasp fauna of Iran is reviewed. The study is based on literature as well as collecting research carried out during 2007-2015 in the East and West-Azarbaijan provinces. The total number of species recorded from Iran is 34 including: Aulacidae (Pristaulacus, 4 species), Evaniidae (Evania, 2 species and Brachygaster, one species) and Gasteruptiidae (Gasteruption, 27 species). Four new records from Iran are added: Brachygaster minutus (Olivier) (Evaniidae); Gasteruption goberti (Tournier), G. henseni van Achterberg and G. undulatum (AbeilledePerrin) (Gasteruptiidae).

Three species of the genus Dicranosepsis (Duda, 1926) are taxonomically treated in this paper. Dicranosepsis bicolor (Wiedemann, 1830),D. crinita (Duda, 1926) and D. olfactoria (Iwasa, 1984) are recorded for the first time from the Narowal region of the Punjab, Pakistan. Dicranosepsis crinita (Duda, 1926) is recorded for the first time in Pakistan. Illustrated keys and local distribution data for these three known species of the genus are also provided.

In the present study, the family Sclerogibbidae (Hymenoptera, Chrysidoidea) is newly recorded for the Iranian insect fauna by several records of a single species, Sclerogibba talpiformis Benoit, 1950. The materialwas captured by a series of Malaise traps in the provinces of Fars andHormozgan (south of Iran) during 2013–2015.
