Evolution Process of Legal and Cultural Status of Jury in Press Crimes in the Law of Iran

Abstract:
As regards press offenses, including offenses related to the one side are governments, It is likely that the courts deal with the press offenses was more strict and atrocious so they were unable to maintain their impartiality; So the best solution for avoiding such a problem is to determine the number of people elected by the general public as public representatives, along with the community skilled and qualified judges in the trials for press. These representatives should reflect the opinion of major of public to the judges; therefore with such arrangements it is hoped to make a fair judgment regarding to the press The Iranian legal system has done many activities in regard to jury but unfortunately this organization somewhat has been passive today This paper analyzes the issue of press offenses addressed in the jury; also the evolution of the quasi-judicial agency in the legal system of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be reviewed.
