Application of game theory in the acquisition and sharing of library resources

In today's society and similar to human beings it is believed that companies, institutions and organizations have complex interactions with each other, so decisions taken by the managers of these organizations can impact other organizations. In a competitive knowledge market libraries are like market players that should cooperate with other institutions and libraries to achieve their goals Library managers are compelled to make descision and choose for this kind of cooperation and interaction between different situations ahead. Game theory is one of the important theories in economics that will help managers better understand the conditions. With this theory, managers can make the best decision for more profit. In this paper game theory is presented in a simple expression and without mathematical formulas in the game theory, and the applications of cooperation game theory in providing and sharing library resources is discussed. The results of applying this theory indicate that if correctly used it will increase the profit for each individual library, the collective interest of members also will increase.
