The Impact of Narrating Stories on Learning Frenchby Iranian Young Students

Abstract:
The present paper addresses language development via narrating stories as an educational medium and French language as a foreign language which is regularly practiced and acquired by Iranian young students (10-12 years old) in their French courses. The method of this research is developmental with three phases composed of different parts: planning, realization and instruction. The planning step focuses on language objectives and creating the situation. The realization step revolves around explaining words and expressions as well as interactive studies. The instruction stage serves purposes such as fulfilling students’ goals from listening, accomplishment of educational objectives, remembering vocabulary, performing class activity and communicating language information. The paper ends with four principles of interventions of the teachers when necessary, teacher's fundamental role in language development process, language acquisition and learning a foreign language.
