The Iranian cultural identity in the process of globalization: capacities and visions

Some huge and obvious changes have token place in the IT technology, economics and politics in the late years of 20th and in the beginning of 21th centuries. Globalization which is a common term for processes of international integration arising from increasing human connectivity and interchange of worldviews, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture has resulted in a speed decrease of spatial and time distances and an outstanding integration and complication in the cultural and identical fields. In particular, advances in transportation and telecommunications infrastructure, including the rise of the Internet, represent major driving factors in globalization and precipitate further interdependence of economic and cultural activities. The changes and processes driven by the globalization have resulted in a cultural homogenization and fundamental transformations in the identical and cultural levels. These changes may result in an imbalance and a lack of identity. The Iranian cultural identity in the process of globalization can have some impacts and effects on the other cultures around the world through elements such as Persian language and literature, religion, art works, cultural heritages and so on.
