Education and Sex;

Abstract:
Although feminism was a reflection of the unfavourable and aggressive attitudes towards women in the past, this movement is now going astray and in recent years, it has deprived women of their rights in a modern way. Among the slogans of this movement are" equality of educational opportunities between men and women", and "co-education". At the early days, co-education was accepted by some countries, but due to its inconsistency with man's nature and religious values many countries rejected it. Modern world still applies co-education even after having noticed its negative effects, especially in educational, training, and moral aspects. Holding women in respect, and seeking to preserve their human dignity to regain their lost rights, Islam condemns any extreme views including of women's role limitation and depriving women of taking part in social life, and rejects any kind of mixed-sex education and the perversity which it brings about.
