Recognition of relation between occupational burnout of policewomen and their family functions in 1386 (200708-)

Abstract:
The present research has been conducted with the aim of examining the relation between occupational burnout of policewomen and their family functions. The research is survey-based, and descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient have been used in the analysis of the data.A total of 69 individuals were examined in this study. Examinees were women police officers with 5 years of work record who were married. In order to evaluate the occupational burnout, the occupational burnout assessment questionnaire of Mazlak was used, and to evaluate the family function the Mc Master family assessment tools questionnaire was employed.Research findings show that there is a negative correlation between the occupational burnout and six family function scales, namely, problem solving, roles, communication, affective responsiveness, affective involvement, and behavior. From application point of view the research findings show that arrangement of training courses to teach skills of life and techniques of proper facing with occupational burnout can be effective in preventing and reducing occupational burnout and disruption in the functions of the family.
