Relationship of organizational structure with organizational intelligence (Case study: Lorestan Province's public organizations)

Message:
Abstract:
The aim of this research is to identify the relationship of organizational structure with organizational intelligence. The research variables included organizational structure (formalization, complexity, centralization) and organizational intelligence (strategic vision, shared fate, desire to change, alignment and congruence, knowledge deployment). Albrecht’s Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire and Robbins’s Organizational Structure Questionnaire were used to collect data. Data was analyzed by statistical methods such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Kruskal-Wallis, Maan Whitney-U, Population Success Proportion, and Spearman Correlation coefficient. The analyses of hypothesis indicated that there was a strong and reverse relationship between organizational structure and organizational intelligence. According to these results we can claim that organizations with a static structure (with higher formalization, complexity, and centralization) have lower organizational intelligence, and organizations with a dynamic structure (with lower formalization, complexity, and centralization) have higher organizational intelligence.
