The Research Pathology of Faculty Members in Human Sciences

The author of the article aims to analyze the pathology of scientific board members in human sciences. The method of the study is applied and survey method. The results of the research show the pathology of the research in human sciences as follow: research management and programming weakness, obstacles in strengthening the scientific board, bureaucracy and officialism, personal problems, social affaires, economical problems and lack of research equipments. Not having scientific relationship with international universities is one of the main problems in Ahvaz university. Other problems and difficulties are as follow: not being familiar with research softwares, inability in typing and method of writing research and principle of essay writing. Personal problems such as disability in using foreign resources, time consuming teaching duty, employing unqualified members as scientific board. Social factors such as ambiguous approach toward research and researcher, insufficient spiritual determiners, lack of cultural fundamentals for scientific activities in community, tensions caused by outer factors, inadequate attention to outstanding researchers, research among university authorities is not as important as other activities. Economical problems as little income in research activities, inadequate financial support in human sciences research, taxes in human sciences research. The paper concludes that it is necessary to pay a grand and holistic attention to research process by authorities in science, research and technology ministry and Azad Islamic University.
