Studying the environmental factors effective on the abduction crime committing in Iranshahr

According to Article 621 of Islamic Punishment Law-Tázir approved in 1996, abduction is deemed as one of the statutory and hideous crimes. On the other side, committing this crime is very prevalent in Iranshahr due to its unique characteristics. The main objective of this study is identification and expression of the most important environmental factors which affect the abduction crime committing in Iranshahr within 2009 and 2010. As respect to the objective this research is applied and as respect to the methodology is descriptive-survey. The sampling group of this study is consisted of judges, intelligent service police officers and abduction cases of Iranshahr. The statistical sample included all the samples. The data collection instrument is questionnaire. The findings of this research indicate that abduction crime in Iranshahr within 2009 and 2010 has a direct relationship with the geography of Iranshahr, substance transactions, unauthorized border traffic and abundance of weapon and ammunition. The summary implies that the most important factor effective on the abduction crime committing in Iranshahr is transaction of narcotics. On the other hand, the four absolute causes of this crime often result in this crime beside each other and systematically along with a combination of other factors.
