Relationship between organizational culture and job burnout among academics and non- academic employees

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine relationship between organizational culture and job burnout among academics and non-academic employees in Tabriz University. Participants consisted of 209 subjects selected through stratified random sampling. All participants completed both the Hofsted Organizational Culture Questionnaire and Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results indicated that the rational culture is dominant in Tabriz university. The levels of job burnout were found to be different in various types of organizational culture. However، job burnout was not different among various academic ranks. There was significant difference between academics and employees in terms of job burnout. The levels of job burnout were found to be different between females and males. Finally، results showed a negative relationship between organizational culture، and job burnout among employees.
