Foreign Relations of the Aachaemenid Kings

Abstract:
One of the issues that makes a country known in foreign areas is their peaceful and proper foreign relations which shows the foreign policy of that government. So, it was a very important and strategic issue in the history. Our ancestors always tried to achieve this goal and have friendly and peaceful relations with other countries.One of the most powerful empires in the word and also in Iran was Achaemenids that took power in 550 b.c when Cyrus the great defeated the Medians. From the very beginning, their policy was "tolarance and forbearance". All Achaemenid kings adopted the same policy and could rule Achaemenids dominion with such extensiveness easily and meet the needs of the different tribes with different cultures and languages. Although in one period, Achaemenids adapted the policy of "divide and rule'' which was the demands of the time, they ruled successfully. In this essay, it was tried to explain foreign relations of Achaemenid kings and also the way they adopted the policy of Tolerence and Forbearance toward other countries.
