Investigation of AquaCrop model application in irrigation planning of Sunflower in Ahvaz

Develooment of water resources is not possible in arid areas، so production increase is only possible with management improvement and irrigation efficiency increasing afterward. Deficit irrigation is an important solution for irrigation efficiency improvement and optimal use of water resources in arid areas especially. Nowadays، softwares facilitate selection and design of managemental combinations. So، in this project، AquaCrop model was calibrated and the simulations accuracy was verified for Sunflower product indexes. AquaCrop model calibration was done with comparing the results of field studies and model simulations. Statistical test results showed that the model has high accuracy in simulation. The values of Er for water productivity Yield، water productivity Biomass، Yield and Biomass are respectively: 4. 3، 7. 24، 20. 85 and 24. 66.
