Simulation of SedimentTransport in River; Case Study: Dez River

According to this reality that in Iran specially in Khuzestan there are a lot of rivers، and also according to improve of making dam in this area، it is important to determine rate of sediment transport. In this article، simulation of sediment transport in Dez river (between Harmaleh&Bamdezh reach) were done by HEC-RAS 4. 0 and GSTARS 2. 1 models. In this paper، models were done by theoretical sediment transportation to show the results of the comparison of statistics data، and determine the best relation for calculating of whole river''s sediment. It compares the two models output and show the different between one-dimension and quasi two-dimensions models and also was done sensitive analysis on these models. At last the suitable rate of sediment transport was studied.
