A new Method for Eliminating of Cycles in RDV tables in Grid Resource Discovery
Grid technology provides sharing different types of resources. Since resources are heterogeneous and geographically distributed in grid environments, therefore using these resources requires suitable resource discovery techniques. One of these methods is using RDV tables, where resources are clustered based on specific interests and these clusters create a graph. In this method, some additional and deceptive information is stored in the RDV tables. According to the dynamism of grid environment, importing this information in tables is unnecessary and causes cycles in resource discovery mechanism; therefore some requests will be directed wrongly to offline resources.. In this paper cycles are eliminated by applying some changes in recording information in the tables. Obtained results show that the presented method has better performance than previous one with respect to the number of hops and routing time.
