Relationship between components religious attribution and test anxiety in under graduate college students of Tabriz

Abstract:
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between components religious attribution and test anxiety in undergraduate college students in Tabriz University. In this study, a sample of 372 subjects (200 female and 172 male) were selected by means of cluster sampling method. The questionnaire of approaching daily hassles and stressors (Ghobari et al, 1999) and Spielberger test anxiety inventory (1980) were administered to collect data. The results of statistical analysis indicated positive correlation between religious attribution and test anxiety. Individuals who were anxious were higher in religious attributions. This means that religious attributions are elicited in stressful situations. In addition, other research findings showed significant differences between males and females in test anxiety as well as its cognitive - emotional components. Also gender differences were found in religious attributions of participants indicating higher religious attribution strategies in females students in compare to males.
