Effect of Mood and Locus of Control on Helping Behavior and Memory in Petrochemical Industry Applicants

The aim of the current study was to investigate effect of mood and locus of control on helping behavior and memory. the method used is survey study and participants were 150 petrochemical industry applicants who responded to locus of control inventory and memory test assigned in helping situation. Variance analysis and chi square used for data analyzing. Findings indicate that individuals with internal locus of control and positive mood help more. Also in positive mood number of recalled vocabularies is more (p<0.01) and recalled vocabularies is congruent with induced mood (p<0.01). According to findings the researchers recommend more studies on inducing positive mood.
