Comparison of Type Dpersonality and Vital Exhaustion in Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) and Normal

Abstract:
Objective
The aim of this study was compared the personality types D and vital exhaustion in coronary heart disease (CHD) and normal.
Method
The population of the study includes all the students Tabriz University and the patients with coronary heart disease who consulted heart specialists. The sample of the study includes normal people and patients with heart diseases who were selected randomly in certain steps. The instruments for gathering data were standardized scales: Questionnaire of Denollet type D personality (TDPQ), Maastricht vital exhaustion Questionnaire (MVEQ) and demographic characteristics. Data were analyzed by using of descriptive statistics and research hypothesis the U Mann Whitney test was analyzed in SPSS.16 software.
Results
Results showed that there are differences between coronary heart disease and normal individuals of type D personality and its components (negative affect and social inhibition) and vital exhaustion.
Conclusion
TThhee ffiinnddiinnggss of important implications iiss for future research, prevention, psychopathology and treatment of health behaviors in patients with coronary heart disease. Keywords: Type D personalities, negative affect, social inhibition, vital exhaustion, coronary heart disease
