The Steady of Relation between Social Capital and Environmental Life Styles among Citizens of Tabriz City

Throughout history, human life has been passing a continual link with the nature. Water, soil, land and plants, always have been helping people and inspired them and environment as a background for human activity which is considered as a the most important part and an integral fraction of human life. However, human beings are also responsible for maintaining their environment. On this paper we applied Pierre Bourdieu's theory, social capital which is considered as an effective element in the lives of the citizens of Tabriz and their social behavior.The purpose of this paper is examining the relationship between dimensions of social capital and the environmental lifestyle. The results reveal education and income have significant effect on environmental lifestyle, among the three dimensions of social capital, aspects of social participation and social cohesion are significantly associated with environmental lifestyle but social trust does not show a significant relationship. Multiple regression analysis also indicates that social participation, education and social cohesion explained eleven percent of the variance of environmental lifestyle.
