Synthesis of CuFe2O4 Nanoparticles by Co-precipitation Method and their Application in Ethanol Gas Sensor
Abstract:
In this study، CuFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method using oleic acid as surfactant under different growth temperatures. The samples were calcined at different temperatures to find their formation phase. The particles were studied using XRD and SEM. XRD results showed the tetragonal structure of the samples. SEM analysis showed that the influence of synthesis temperature and calcinations temperature on morphology and mean nanoparticles size. Copper ferrite nanoparticles and potassium bromide particles were used as metal oxide semiconductor gas sensor for detection of ethanol gas. Different voltages were applied to the sensor and the optimum voltage of the sensor was determined. Finally، the response of the sensor was calculated according to the various concentration of ethanol gas and its curve was drawn in terms of the gas concentration.
