The Effectiveness of Self-Regulation Learing Strategies Training on the Self-Regulation Skills,Academic Engagement and Test Anxiety

Abstract:
The purpose of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of self-regulation strategies training on self-regulation skills، academic engagement and anxiety test in Arabic language course. 60 students were selected from 9th grade school (30 experimental and 30 control groups) by random taking samples. The method of this study was quasiexperimental method by pretest- posttest. Research instruments were the Motivational Strategies for Learning Questionnar (MSLQ) and the Sarason Test Amxiety Scale. In order to analysis of data, analysis of covariance was used. Finding showed that the selfregulation skills of, the experimental group significantly was higher than the control group (p<0. 05). The results also indicated that the selfregulation skill training had significant influence on academic engagement development and reduction of anxiety test in Arabic language course.
