The assessment of the organizational citizenship behavior dimensions

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is the study of the rate of organizational citizenship behavior among Bu-Ali Sina university employees. The research method is survey. The statistical population of the research consists of all Bu-Ali Sina university employees. Using ratio stratified random sampling 254 of the population were selected as statistical sample. The data gathering instrument was Organ and Fureh organizational citizenship behavior standard questionnaire that its reliability computed using cronbach alpha coefficient was about. /87 and the statistical techniques of one sample T test، independent T test، correlation coefficient and ANOVA were used to test the research hypotheses. The findings showed that the rate of organizational citizenship behavior of university employees was below average level. Demographic specification analysis also showed that there was no meaningful difference among the mean of organizational citizenship behavior of university employees in terms of their gender، seniority and certificate but according to their age there was meaningful difference.
