The Relationship between information literacy and self directed learning of undergraduate students in the Islamic Azad university of Kermanshah

Abstract:
The main purpose of this research was to study The Relationship between information literacy and self directed learning of undergraduate students. Correlation method was used. The statistical population comprised all students in the Islamic Azad university of Kermanshah. Using systematic random sampling method and based on kerjcie and morgan table about 270 students were selected as the study sample. The data collection instrument were standard information literacy and self directed learning questionnaires. The validity of scaled were reported as acceptable in previous research es and their reliability were computed by other researchers. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive indices t-test and pearson correlation coefficient. Findings showed that there are a possitive significant relation between information literacy and student self-directed learning (r=. /44)، student GPA (r=. /42) and between student self-directed learning and their GPA (r=. /38) but there is not any significant relation between age and gender with information literacy.
