Study on Plays and Amusements and the Cause for Their Currency at the Royal Court A(232-552)

Abstract:
Islamic culture and civilization have interacted with other nations` cultural heritage. The cases of plays and amusements taken from neighbors or originated from Arabic tribal customs and habits may be counted among them. Abbasid caliphate`s attention to these plays and amusements during second period and the causes for their currency has formed the subject of the paper. There can be found evidence for the effect of political, cultural and economic conditions in the field. In addition, the currency of intellectualism and determinism with caliphates` support of each has been of effect on the type of plays and amusements and so has been their interest to the state of being pleasure. It was used to train some players for caliphates and special works were compiled for teaching plays and amusements. Furthermore, essential part of some plays in strengthening military techniques caused caliphates to pay more attention to them.
