Salvation in Islam and Christianity (with Emphasis on Quran and the Bible)

The issue of salvation is one of the most significant concerns of the two great Abrahamic religions: Islam and Christianity. In Islam, salvation is the rescue from sins and the divine dissatisfaction, and the achievement of a life with divine vicinity and satisfaction in the light of the faith in God and the performance of good acts. But in Christianity it is the rescue from the original sin and its consequences which might only be possible by the divine grace and the sacrifice of the Christ. In this paper, I will deal with the most important issues about the doctrine of salvation from Islamic and Christian viewpoints.
