Explaining the Military Status of Sea in the Defense Strategy of I.R. Iran and Providing Methods of Accomplishment of its Necessities

Abstract:
Defense strategy of Islamic Republic of Iran, has the responsibility of selection of aims, tools, instruments, and defense methods for supplying national security of the country which can deter potential threats by application of factors of the national power create deterrence against potential threats and in the case of failure of the strategic deterrence, will defend from regional integrity, national security and principle merits and values of the Islamic system. The peripheral seas of the country, have effective dimensions in defense strategy which one of them is these principle and effective dimensions is military aspect of the sea that in defense and military strategies has a special status. Characteristics and advantages of the peripheral seas have placed Iran at the top position of the maritime, transitional and strategic countries. This paper tries to explain military status of the sea in the defense strategy of Islamic Republic of Iran and by explanatory and analytical ways provides the methods of establishment of its necessities.
