Student's Evaluation of University's Academic Performance (A case of Shahid Sattari University in 2012-2013 Academic Year)

Nowadays satisfaction of service receivers has received a lot of attention. Based on customer-centered approach, the only effective mechanism to sustain organizations, eliminate inadequacies, increase capabilities, and secure qualitative and quantitative upgrade is to consider the customer. As to academic settings, students are of the most important corner stone. To investigate this issue, this study was an attempt to evaluate the academic performance of the aforementioned university from the student's perspectives. The participants were 302 randomly selected students, who answered the Satisfaction Questionnaire of Noel Loits International Institute (2007). In this descriptive-applied research, t-tests were run as to the data analysis, which revealed that they are satisfied with their university’s academic performance. Among the criteria of measurement, variables such as consultancy services, faculty atmosphere, campus life, supportive services, appreciation of students, educational and employment efficiency, financial supports, student-centeredness were evaluated highly positive, though they stood along a continuum of ranking, moving between two extremes of positive evaluation.
