The Critical Analysis of The Amendment of Provision 1 of The Act of Press 1985 and Its Subsequent Amendments

The appearance of modern communication facilities and absence of comprehensive of media in Iran’s Law led to enactment of comprehensive Act of media in the Act of Forth economic and Social Plan as duty.Nevertheless; this serious affair remained undone due to various reasons irrelevant to our discussion. Finally; legislator in december 2009 and apparently in the of mentioned aim made amendments in provision 1 of the Act of press 2010 and added a new provision to it. These amendments put the news agencies and electronic press under the Act of press; and legislator in Note.4 of this provision stressed on the resposibility of director; producers and writers of news agencies. In this article we have tried to show that the latter provision fails to satisfy the legal needs of various media and meet legislator’s assumed aims.
