Message:
Abstract:
Airholes are historical elements in the Iranian architecture and have important aspects in the local architecture. Airholes are known as cooling systems that help air ventilation by the use of wind energy. Hormozgan airholes are not comparable to those of Yazd since the former are very simple and uniform. Despite this fact Hormozgan airholes can be categorized according to the location in the house plan and the front. Just like dissimilar space organizing in the Hormozgan houses the location of the airholes is different in each house. It can vary based on the organization and the foundation of the house. Therefore, airholes influence as the culmination sky point is also different in every house. Generally speaking the location of the airholes in plans isrelevant to the plan shape in which bigger houses have got two airholes and the smaller ones only one. This study is based on library research and field study. The method of the research is descriptive.
