Impact of Environmental Perceptions on Corporate Entrepreneurship in Public Sector: The Case of the Iran Water Sources Management Organization

Nowadays، organizational environment and corporate entrepreneurship are two important issues which have gained a considerable debate and particular state in the field of management. Given the importance of these two issues، this paper aims to study the environmental perceptions impact on corporate entrepreneurship in the Iran’s water sources management organization. Statistical population of this study includes all personnel who work in the Iran’s water resources management organization. To this end، a sample of 77 people is randomly selected. This sample includes employees، managers، assistants and experts of the organization. Data obtained from questionnaire are examined using statistical tests such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (K–S test) and Friedman test. Moreover، linear regression is specified and estimated. The findings of this paper show that the environmental perceptions have statistically significant effect on corporate entrepreneurship. Political risk and environmental complexity have a negative impact on corporate entrepreneurship while environmental munificence and dynamism have a positive impact on corporate entrepreneurship.
