The impact of computer games on Personality Characteristics and adjustment of adolescents

Purpose of this study was The impact of computer games on Personality Characteristics and adjustment of adolescents. Based on research project causal-comparative form, 200 high school senior female and male students in the 6th district of Tehran were selected by cluster randomized sampling. Tools for implementation of this research were: a) Researcher made Questionnaire, b) Eysenck Personality Inventory, c) Adjustment Inventory for high School Students. In order to analysis of data, Independent T-test was used.Result show that:1- Neurosis of boys is lower than girls.2- Educational adjustment of adolescents with a history of playing the game is less than adolescents without a history.3- Extroverts adolescents compared to introverts adolescents, have more tendency to playing the computer games.4- Boys compared to girls with a history of computer games, there are differences in educational adjustment.
