Combat desertification alternatives classification with using of Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) view point and Weighted Sum Model (WSM) (Case study: Khezrabad region, Yazd province

For advancing efficiency of control, reclamation, reconstruction project and for prevention of wasting limited resources, it is clear that in combat desertification projects, the method vacuum could consider different criteria and alternatives that are provided optimal alternatives according to systematic structure and group aspects. Because, this study is tried in framework Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) for providing optimal alternatives in combat desertification. In this study the alternatives and criteria weight were assessed by using Delphi method and Shannon Entropy and with application of EC software, Then final preference for the alternatives was obtained with forming decision matrix in framework WSM method. Obtained results indicate that the alternative vegetation cover development and reclamation (A23 with priority coefficient of 0.2194, land usage unsuitable of reveres and conversion (A18) with priority coefficient of 0.2119 and change of irrigation pattern and execution of the methods with less water need (A33) were determined as the optimum combat desertification alternatives in region (Key words: Combat desertification, Multiple Attribute Decision Making(MADM) methods, Pire wise comparative,Weighted.
