Explanation of Constituent Elements of Spiritual and Religious Characteristics of Combatants during the Holy Defense Times and Exploration of its Strategies

Religious spirit of our country’s combatants is considered as an important factor in Iran’s victory during eight years of the holy defense. This research tries to answer this question, what factors had formed (constituted) spiritual resistance of Iranian combatants during the holy defense? The sample population of this study is composed of 700 subjects including managers, commanders and combatants of the eight years of the holy defense, who cooperated with the Foundation for Preservation of Works and values of the holy defense. The sample population of this study which is selected on the bases of Cochran formula is 250 individuals which evaluated after interview and gathering of information from 200 questionnaires. Research findings which are based on library and field method, show that Islam culture has the maximal role and economical profits has the minimal role in formation of resistance spirit of the combatants during the holy defense
