Analytic Study of Landed Property of Foreign Nationals in Iran (1906 - 1928)

Behind the spreading of the relationship between Iran and foreign states in 19th and 20th century، foreign subjects were going and coming in Iran in order to achieving of different goals. Different foreign groups and classes in Iran were not from a particular country or nation but they were from different countries and nationalities. Their going and coming caused the necessity of their residence in Iran. Different and several goals and interests of foreigners that resided in Iran، caused the various possessions، as if they gradually owned many lands for example residential، administrative، commercial and agricultural lands. These lands were not in particular city or region but dispersed all over the country. Foreigners owned these lands by the way of buying، renting، inheritance، exchange and demand of due. Increasing ownership of foreigners in the beginning of 20th century depressed Iranian politicians and persuaded them to tackle this subject. Therefore this article researches government''s policy in this subject، landed classes and nationalities، geographical regions of possessions، kinds of ownership and record manners of possession documents at first quarter of 20th century.
