Citation Analysis of the Articles Published in Quarterly of Islamic Revolution Studies (vol. no.13 to no.34) from 2008 to 2013

Abstract:
This article is aimed at the study of the status of articles published in the quarterly of Islamic Revolution Studies. Methodapplied here is citation analysis. Excel has been used to analyze data. Findings indicate that in 22 issues of this quarterly, 199 articles have been published. All of them are compiled articles and one of them has been published in English language. 97 have been collectively compiled while the rest of them are products of a single individual's research. Total citations are 6141 and average citation for each paper and each issue is 30.85 and 279.13 respectively. Books with 4415 citations and English sources with 1144 citations outnumber other sources. Out of cited books, 90.7 percent was used by single authors and 9.29 were used collectively. Among the magazines, 82.04 percent of them were cited by single authors while 17.95 percent were used collectively. Among the Persian sources cited, 78.33 percent were compiled books while 21.66 percent were translated works. About magazines, 88.72 percent (771 cases) were articles in Persian magazines while 11.27 percent were translated ones.
