University, Researchers and Society Relationships and their Impacts on Sciences Production in Universities

University، researchers and society had been interacts effects، there fore، this result of studies can apply to saturate society needs. studies have indicated that process of knowledge production continue without attention to real needs in many developing countries. The aim of this study is to determine effects of university، researchers، and society on knowledge generation in university from viewpoints of faculty members. this is a descriptive study. Statistical population included faculty members of shiraz university of medical science in 2008. the sample size was 220 which selected stratified sampling. Research tools was self- design questionnaire، included 27 questions in likert scale in 5 areas: academic، researchers، educational system، political and social factors. Its validity was approved by experts viewpoints and reliability was accounted by alfa- cronbach (α=0. 92) data were analysed by spss 14. as a result، educational factors had most effect and political space had least effect on efficacy of scientific productions. The mean score of women viewpoints significantly was more than men، instructors more than other faculties and managers lower than others. reforming educational system is one of the most important necessities of society for training innovators، thinkers and analysers. Also، developing scientific culture is one of the factors that indicate importancy and necessity to pay attention to knowledge production in society. There fore، university leaders have to provide scientific space for developing knowledge and scientific productions out of political changes، as well as، they have to prevent from waste of energy and delay in performing programs.
