Abstract:
This article addresses the investigation and identification of police graceful interaction strategies with the male junior-high school administrators of Tehran to provide a preventive strategy for the prevention of crime and victimization. To do so, five components of collaborative working practices, meetings and assisting the students at risk, identifying and monitoring the students at risk, students’ participation in preventive programs, and creating a safe and healthy environment have been used. This study is an implicational type and it has been conducted in a descriptive-analytical method. The statistical population consists of two groups: 1- 81 magistrates of police stations in Tehran; 2- 600 headmasters of junior-high schools in Tehran. The sampling method for the first group was the complete sampling and for the second group 240 members who were selected systematically. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. For analyzing the results an independent two-way t-test was run which indicates that the differences between the ideas of headmasters of schools and magistrates of police stations about appropriate interaction strategies in Tehran were statistically significant. This test was verified with alpha level of <.01 meaning 99% of certainty. Also, for the relationship and the effect of appropriate ways of interaction on the prevention of crime and victimization of students chi-square tests, Kendal, and multivariate regression were conducted. Regarding the headmasters of schools’ ideas, the appropriate interactive strategies of administrators with students at risk, collaborative working based on the magistrates of police stations’ ideas, and students’ participation in preventive programs had the greatest effect on the prevention of crime and victimization of students in this interaction. The findings indicate that providing the national strategy for prevention of crime and victimization, providing the administrative guidelines, providing standards for treating the students, teaching citizenship, and conducting the common training workshops have important role in this interaction and they are necessary for students.
