Freedom to Choose One of Four Alternatives of Blood Money at the Present Time

Famous jurisprudents believe that criminals can freely choose one of the six alternatives for blood money. Since nowadays there is a remarkable difference between the economic value of different alternatives of blood money, it is unjustifiable to let the criminal choose the blood money because the criminal would certainly choose the least valuable alternative. Therefore the ruling to choose will be meaningless. Having mentioned the existing viewpoints and their investigation, this article concludes that none of these alternatives mentioned in traditions as the blood money are subject matters and they all play the role of a benchmark for a specific value which is called the purchasing power.
