Study on the Relationship between Personality Types (A & B) and Job Involvement in Academic Staff

This research was carried out with the purpose of study on the relationship between personality types (A & B) and Job Involvement in academic staff of Islamic Azad University – Dezful branch. The sampling group consists of 66 persons. They were chosen by simple sampling method randomly. The research instruments include questionnaires for KANUNGO job involvement and personality types (A & B). Data analyzing through Pearson correlation، regression and independent sample T-Test، showed that there is a positive significant relationship between type A personality and job involvement. But there is no significant relationship between type B and job involvement. Also more results indicated that there is no significant difference between the job involvement level of the female and male staff. These findings have important implication in understanding of the role of personality types in job involvement.
