Kashmir and Persian language

Abstract:
Kashmir as a part of India''s Jammu and Kashmir state، is always a reminder of a mythical and flourishing land with plenty of wonderful beauties، which has been given a splendid appeal by the historical places and natural views. Climatic، natural and cultural similarities of Kashmir and Iran، caused Kashmir to be called Iran minor. Persian language which is a subdirectory of the Indo-Iranian languages ​​has an old connection to languages ​​of the subcontinent، but the development of this language in India is indebted to Muslims mystics and missioners which have the greatest contribution to the promotion and expansion of Islam in the subcontinent. A group of this missioners who were Persian-language poets، after migrating to Kashmir prepared a suitable ground for the expansion of Persian language and literature in this country by the publication of science، literature and culture of Iran. In addition to present a brief introduction of Kashmir، the aim of this paper is to investigate Kashmir’s connection to the Persian language and poets and to seek overt and covert aspects of Persian language influence on this area by the Library data method.
