Role of Structural Factors in Exploration of Porphyry Copper Deposits in Northern Parts of Dehaj-Sardoiyeh Area

Dehaj-Sarduiyeh belt is located in south west of Kerman province and is a part of central Iranian volcano-sedimentary complex. There are plenty of porphyry mines in the belt. Mineralization in the area is mainly porphyritic and associated with extension fractures and hydrothermal alteration. The biggest tertiary porphyry deposits are concentrated in this area. To help exploration of porphyry copper mineralization in vast areas, spatial relationship between 16 copper porphyry mines and fractures in the area, was studied as a case study. Photo lineament was determined using spatial relationship of copper porphyry mines and fractures. As a result there is strong relationship between photo lineament factor porphyry copper mine.
