Ethics and Politics in Brethren of Purity's (Ikhwān al-Safā) Teachings and Thoughts

The present discourse is a preparation and introduction to explain Ikhwān al-Safā’s ethical and political teachings and beliefs with the view to providing accurate understanding of relation between ethics and politics in their thoughts which is inspired by Islamic and mystical education. In this research the analysis of such teachings is methodologically normative. In this concise paper، attempt has been made to briefly introduce this personable and enigmatic group. Besides، it was tried to address the question of “what explainable relation there is between Ikhwān’s ethical and religious teachings with politics and governing in human community”.
